| I have twenty years of experience in newspaper and magazine
writing, editing, coaching writers, photography, and page design.
My work has appeared in The Charlotte Observer, The Philadelphia
Inquirer and USA Today. In 1999, I won the highest prize
the South Carolina Press Association awards for newspaper editorial
writing, the E.A. Ramsaur Award. Computer experience includes: QuarkXPress, NewsEdit IQ, Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, Front Page, Dreamweaver, SPSS, Fireworks, and Flash. Awards include: * S.C. Press Association Award, 1989, reporting in depth, third place * S.C. Press Association Award, 1991, reporting in depth, second place * S.C. Press Association Award, 1994, columns, second place * S.C. Press Association Award, 1997, all weekly division, Harris Award for Editorial Writing, first place * S.C.
